I recently purchased a townhome in the Hollywood Riviera section of Redondo Beach. It was well-priced, with an ocean view, but in dire need of updating. I contacted Nick and John through the recommendation of a friend. It was my first time buying a home, and I am not someone who anyone would call for handy work (haha) so it was a big leap for me to do this entire remodel. From the very start, I knew I was in good hands. Nick went room by room with me and pointed out what could be done, always offering different approaches based on my liking and my budget. He made several suggestions on the kitchen and bathrooms, as well as the flooring that saved me money. He worked well with the interior designer I chose and rolled well with the punches as we discovered some hiccups (new copper plumbing was needed for instance). His sub-contractors were polite, professional, prompt and hard-working. The project moved at a rapid pace and Nick and John communicated on at least a daily basis as to the status and scope of the project. It was a thrill watching it all come together, and I was impressed by the complex scheduling that was in place as electrical, plumbing, bathrooms, kitchen, floors, tiles, dry-wall and paint took shape.
I was updated each Friday with exactly what had transpired for the previous week, with a spreadsheet that was easy to follow down to the last dollar. The project was finished ahead of schedule during a very trying time in this country. I recommend American Building highly if you are considering building or remodeling!
